oh at church, funny story.. during prayer time while on stage my hands get SOO sweaty, especially during prayer, and usually the singers connect hands and pray and my hands sweat so bad i get self consious about it.. this sunday my hands were straight up swampy, dylan made them worse, and all he said was heh heh cool
So, a lot of you know that I was in a choir in high school, starfire, and honestly that has been the biggest thing that changed my life, with the best experiences the best people and really getting to know my faith. Well this post isn’t about that, but the leader of that choir are dylan’s parents. They have really helped me in high school and especially these past couple of years while I’ve been in college transitioning through this whole process, and really they are like my second set of parents, but this post isnt really about that.
Last night, we went bowling with all the middle schoolers from Journey (our middle school youth program at the church, i’m a counselor) and after Carol told me about our Philippines trip (she was kind enough to book our flights last night! THE BEST right?!) So a couple weeks back, while I was with Dylan in Tacoma, she brought up that we should go to Angkor Wat as a side trip. She has always wanted to go and since Dylan’s studying hinduism right now it would be really awesome. Both of us are up for it, except I was unsure of my parents. She always told me to ask them about it, but I was really scared because my dad is a really intimidating guy.. So two nights ago she talked to my dad and convinced him that I should go!! She is the best lady ever, and she’s helping me do the things that I have only dreamed of. So this is my appreciation post haha.
